Machine dah rosak…

additional_pocket

I am sad. My sewing machine is having some technical problems and I have yet to send it for repair. 🙁 Sad. Sad. Sad.

Trail run is taking place tomorrow night and I wanted to bring my mobile phone along. Yes, I insist. I always feel safer to have a phone with me no matter it’s a short jog or walk around the park. Yes, I am a scaredy cat and pardon me for my jakun-ness. This is my 1st trail run and my 1st night run. So, it is a wise choice to have a phone with me. Blerk!

Because I am using a Samsung Note 3, I don’t find it possible getting a shorts with such a huge pocket for it. Therefore, I am modifying mine with a hidden pocket to fit my phone. Material that I choose is knitted cotton which I find it more comfortable when it’s against your skin and sweat absorbent. Says who? ME!

No machine? Hand stitch~lor.

Voilà it’s done in less than 30 minutes. !! Happy and satisfied with it. Hope I will be able to complete the run tomorrow. Me scared, scared I sakit perut dah. 😛

Hello September…

Decades back, friendship bands were so famous. We make the bands using colored threads and were given to our friends as a symbol of friendship. And now, loom bands are the new thing here all over the world. It’s a trend now for everyone!! Young and old. Albeit I read that it’s kinda banned for the chemical kinda thing, but I have to get myself in vogue. Okay, okay… I know I am late. But it’s better late than never, right? So, being a kiasu one, I bought myself a starter pack at RM7.90 and one for my niece, Meagan. For the first time, I see how focused Meagan is. We both are so into it and wanna get more of it. I hope we will be able to get better quality of the bands and are chemical free. Fingers crossed.

A brand new month has started. Come to think about it, 4 more months to the end of 2014. I gotta speed up to achieve my goals or at least to strike off some of my personal projects in the list. Have a wonderful day dear all.

Keep moving…

…I am so inspired I woke up with a very active brain. The people I met, activities and events I attended, books I read and things I saw are giving a lot of inspirations. I feel so much alive to keep myself heading towards my goals.

To kick start my action plan, I will spend my holidays with making a harem pants with the new fabric I bought a few days ago and a baby belly bag (rice bag) – I don’t know the name of it yet for a friend of mine, a grandma soon to be. There are a few more things in the list but, mum’s the word until I got them done. I don’t wanna jinx it. 😛

Waking up early is not as tough as before anymore. Trying to be as discipline as I could, my morning routine will be wake up without pushing the snooze button. That is one.  Two, pray and chant. Three, geared up and to the park I go. Walk, jog and stretch. I love stretching with the equipments we have in the park. Just be a little creative and have fun with them. I am loving every single thing around me and my every morning!

vintage_festival

In conjunction with the National Day, there is a festival called Vintage Festival in Stadium Merdeka starting from the 28th of August to 1st of September. This is my first time consigning my GOPAKO pants. My sincere thanks to Shakirah for this golden opportunity for me to learn. I am really happy about it that my pants and some products are out there physically displayed. Go check out booth number 17, by Hey Summer. You will get to see nice stuffs there.

After meeting with Shakirah, of course it’s the time to feast !! Abner and I had our lunch at Petaling Street – Sang Har Ying Yeong and Beef Hor Fun. We went to check out some fabric stores. It’s motivating as always. And without fail spending moolah, I bought a fabric back for harem pants, a 250g packet of chestnut and end with a nice cup of coffee.

Honestly, I am loving my everyday. 🙂

Wishing you all a lovely and wonderful day. ~ Melle
