A Colorful Wednesday…

gift from India

Wednesday is my best day because it is Yoga day. And today an extra smile added on my face when I got a gift from guru Shammee. She got me a very beautiful note book from India. I like the color combination and every sewing details on it. What I like the most is it’s handmade, which is what I believe. 😀

India is one of the places that I’m interested to visit. Now I got inspired to work for this trip one day… Ale ~

Appreciate it with all my heart. Namaste, Shammee.

Corn on the cob

potato salad with sweet corn

When I got my very 1st bite on it RAW in the middle of the forest of Mount Irau, I immediately fall for it. Never in my life did I know it tastes absolutely juicy and sweet. I swear by the trees, and the moss and the mud in the forest. I then bought the sweet corns from one of the stalls at RM10 for 7 cobs. I do not know what should I do with it from the start in order to finish it within a week, till I had lunch with Abner this afternoon. We came across an Indian grocery shop with loads of pretty nice potatoes laying on a big wooden tray. I picked about 4 potatoes, 1 onion and a cucumber. Yeah, I’m gonna make potato salad. Plus sweet corn. Mmm… mmm…

So once I got home, I boiled some water in a saucepan and dumped in the washed potatoes. I waited for about 20 minutes to cook, then took them out from the heat and set aside to cool. While waiting, i played with this little-naughty-Meagan. Tik-tok-tik-tok… and I believe it’s ready to peel the skins off the potatoes. Using a fork, I pressed and mashed it in a big bowl. Diced and lightly chop-chop the onion and cucumber. Set aside. And now it’s time for cutting corn kernels. Hold the stem end of the husked ear of corn and rest the tip on the bottom. Use a sharp knife to cut off corn kernels into a bowl. Mix the diced onion, cucumber and corn kernels with the mashed potato. Add a pinch of salt to taste. Empty a small bottle (130g) of Japanese Kewpie Mayonnaise, mix well and refrigerate for few hours. Voila ~ Am keeping it for tomorrow’s breakfast.

Have a good yum-yum sleep y’all !! ~ Melle

High Five ~

If you are wondering what I’ve been up to lately. I would say…

1 finger up Reading some new yoga books bought from Amazon.com.
2 fingers up – Brushing up some rock climbing skills.
3 fingers up – Preparing for photography session on this coming weekend.
4 fingers up – Tying up some loose ends before I leave for a 7-days vacation.
And last, thumb up Looking forward to a ‘surprise’ pressie that will be arriving in 4 months time. (If you know what it is…ha ha).

My month of April is going to be fully occupied. And woot… I was left with this cute little miniature to help chill me out. I can finish this 135ml of beer in 3-4 gulps. The size is just so nice for me to consume fewer in calories !! I likey. 😀

Cheers and Good Night, people. – Melle

If I have not mistaken, my last visit to the zoo was at 5 or 6. I got pretty excited when we’ve decided to visit the zoo for some tryouts. It was not because that I could get the chance to test on my new camera. It was because, I feel grateful and it’s my pleasure to be around the nature and get mesmerized – I always love doing so. Although we find that keeping these lovely animals in the cage instead of in the wild is a bit of sad… but zoo or zoological garden is where we, as humans could study and get educated. My visit to the zoo brought back many memories, reminiscing about the good old days and knowing how beautiful nature and life is.

Admittedly, getting away from the computer and internet is a way to rejuvenate the mind and soul. So… Let’s go to the zoo, there’s lots of things to do… Remember the jingle from KFC? But sadly KFC is just ain’t there anymore. It’s like something missing visiting the zoo. Oh no… how can this be happening to the Zoo Negara. 🙁

And my advice to you is to have your meal first, or you will end up paying RM3.50 for a Maggi Hot Cup Instant Noodle. We also ended up having our KFC elsewhere after the trip to satisfied our hunger as perfection is much needed to end the trip…
