The 5 Sundays…

namaste

…class is ending soon. By looking back in time, I was uncertain of what I wanted. The question of “Should I, or shouldn’t I?” kept repeating in my mind for a year plus. It definitely changes my life after taking the IYIC. It opens a new path in life and I’m excited to start a class. Beginner class of course. 🙂

The thing is, it is indeed hard to say goodbye when we just started to get used to spending our Sundays together, namaskar-ing to master, practising, sharing, stretching, assignments and supporting each other. Although it is just merely the 4th week, but I find the bond between us, the friendship and the smiles in the room amazed me. The comfort and trust built within us makes me look forward to Sunday although we have to sacrifice our Sunday sleep by waking up early in the morning and got freak out with all the Sanskrits to be remembered. Ouch… heavy hearted-nya. But yeap, I have no regrets and it’s not a full-stop yet where there are more to learn and explore. 🙂

Here I sincerely wish all my classmates, best of luck and may their journey of life is vibrant and full of colorful rainbow. Keep smilling and keep stretching, you future teachers !!

Namaskar. ~ Melle

A weekend walk…

weekend walk

…after weeks of revision, memorizing and practising, I decided to let go of everything for a day and breathe. Catching up with friends, do some bouldering, slack line, joke around and laugh it all out is one of the best ways of relaxation. Whenever I got my eyes closed, I spent the moment practicing by heart. Can I call it as shadow practice? *blerk… 😛

It has been a while since the last outing with my family members. Gathering up with them never fail to bring warmth to my heart…

It’s another brand new week. Wishing everyone good health and happiness. ~ Melle

Woody structure…

branches

… I absolutely love looking at trees. The vertical, horizontal and mostly upward diagonal branches of trees always fascinates me.

Here’s a quote specially dedicated to you all.

Family like branches on a tree, we grow all in different directions, yet our roots remain as one. ~ Unknown

Have a wonderful, Monday. ~ Melle

A workshop I have visited…

workshop

…unabashedly, I asked.

“So if I want to learn wood carving, can I come over so that they can teach me?”
“Yeah, why not!?” Chris answered.

Woot… I’m kinda taking his words for real and needless to say, I have started my homework with some research and hope I’ll be able to get some good woods to start.

Huh huh, Hi ci ja, hold tight !!

Again, I got inspired…

chinese lantern

… as always, spending time walking around on the feet is how I prefer to travel, be it city or countryside. I like taking my time strolling along the streets and discover the place, watching the people, tasting the food along the roadside, in the restaurants and cafes where the locals eat, talking to the locals, understanding the culture and aspect of life that we can’t see or experience from riding on a car. Agree?

During a walk on a refreshing morning, I got fascinated (silently) with this traditional handcrafted Chinese paper lantern in a small temple and my mind drifts back to the olden times. The older days were filled with characters and people live their life in a creative manner. Let’s take the artisanic handicraft for instance, handcrafted useful and decorative devices using natural and limited materials are made completely and  impeccably by hand. With simple tools. They are genius !! Very amazing. Very inspiring. If I have a chance to live in the olden days, my life sure is super-duper interesting, imaginative and creative.

But sadly most of the crafts that were practiced in olden times are not practiced nowadays, but I dream of doing one of these crafts one day ~ Melle

Work • Play • Love…

work play love

…wahey !! Like it or not,  I feel so much rejuvenated and loving the all work and no play vacation a.k.a Valentine’s gift. Is it or is it not? Hmm. Yeah, I am working and playing and I’m definitely loving every single bit of it. It’s great !! I can’t wait for tomorrow to come. It’s gonna be another interesting day. *wink* Good night !! Luv, MelleÂ
