Amazing Penang

Throwback.

I seldom visit Penang because of the long hour drive, traffic and I don’t know what to do there besides Kek Lok Si, Pulau Tikus and Asam Laksa till last December, I got wowed.

This trip is very well etched in my memory.

First we went cruising with Star Cruise – Libra. It is a Penang – Penang cruise. We can only be able to cruise locally as we have 4 generations here. Well, of course it is not enough for me. Where got enough when you spend less than 24 hours on board? Although there’s nothing much to do there but I enjoy the sky, the moon, the stars, the sun and especially the wind. Not to forget the company of my family members – the 4 generations. I had greatest time. I do miss all the happiness and laughter. I am telling myself that I will be cruising again.

I didn’t take a lot of photos this trip because I wanted to see things with my eyes. Kinda regretted now because I can’t show much here. Also, my gadget is not working very well with me. Considering of getting what? The phone with leica camera. Okay, Huawai P9. Just googled it. Pardon me. I am not a gadget person and have very less knowledge.

I woke up pretty early that morning and so did my family members. First thing first, FOOD. I was so hungry we went queued up for food. We did not really plan to watch the sunrise but this beauty attracted us. It was really, really, really beautiful. The beauty of spending quiet time mesmerizing the sunrise. The wind is so-so awesome. I can feel the heart was brimming with true happiness from all of us.

So silly of me for wanting to do the ‘Titanic’ pose. It is prohibited to enter la moi.

I like the simplicity of this ship. We spent most of our time standing on the deck against the wind, counting jellyfishes. 😀 These are the things that we’ll never do in the city. Just too sad we have to leave the ship by 11am.

Check-in Vouk Hotel. Built in 2016 with tip-top service. Spacious and comfortable. By far, Vouk serves the best breakfast. 2 thumbs up. Looking forward to enjoy the swimming pool in my next stay. Sorry once again that I have no photos to show and I don’t want to grab one from the internet though.

Bukit Bendera a.k.a Penang Hill. My first visit was in 1990. It has changed so much and I got wowed again. I would suggest you to get the Fast Lane ticket at RM30 for adults and RM15 for students RM5 for senior citizen (for MYCARD holder). Worth the price to save the time of waiting. Oh! Please look for chickpea masala. You can smell the aroma of spices from far away that will make you drool. Trust me. It is super duper tasty.

Lucky enough that I managed to capture such a beautiful scene on the way back down. For those who love the nature, cooling weather and who hasn’t been to Penang Hill for years, do make a trip here. Advisable to check the weather forecast first.

Made a stop at one of the R&Rs to stretch our legs and were greeted with this condensation of cloud. Beautiful, right?

gogirl_camo_01Add on: I would like to share with you that GoGirl helped me a lot in this trip. I have zero worry and hassle going to the loo. I don’t mean to be a bitch but I can’t bear the uncleanliness. You just imagine. And because of this, many of us started half squatting and so did I. Let me tell you, it hurts my knees terribly. GoGirl is my bff when comes to loo especially when I am travelling. Many may not be comfortable with stand peeing. Trust me, after a few practice you will know how nice to have GoGirl with you.

I would rather protect my knees and be able to walk further than half squatting and the pain will last for days. What about “washing” people asked. Well, I would say that I will first protect my knees and do a quick wash. You can still wash though. I will then use Dettol to wash the Go-Girl after my trip.

If you are interested to get one for youself, I have only 2 left and will be discontinued. Read more about GoGirl here. I can now pee like a man! I also look forward to show-off when I have the chance to camp. Hah!
