OM…

Had my 1st yoga practice this evening with guru Shammee. I fell asleep at the end of Shava Asana and luckily I did not snore. It was so close. Haha. Let me tell you, CNY is tiring. Seriously. I also got myself overindulged. With what else can it be? With snacks of course. Dum dee dum ~

Nothing much to blog about art & craft recently as I am playing around, hosting (by parents) and attending gatherings and practicing some new yoga movements. I am pretty into Fist of Fire right now. Oh ~ don’t get me wrong. It’s not a movie or something. It’s a yoga technique. 😀 Am also trying to learn more about myself. Have you ever ask yourself “who do you think you really are”? Well… I asked myself uncountable times. I have this doubt in mind since younger till I went to a Buddha meditation by faith few years back and found something that is indescribable. I wanna know what was that, why did it happen, where did the power come from? I wanna know.

“Faith is believing.”

And so I do believe that faith will leads me to the answers of all my questions one day. OM… Namaste.

Lurving it…

pumpkin oatmeal

I am a fan of oatmeal ever since I tried it back in Kluang. Here’s one of my favourite breakfasts that I often cook.

Ingredients:
• Quaker Oatmeal – 1 cup
• Water – 2 1/2 cups
• Pumpkin – about 3 slices – 1 inch thick each
• Carrot – 1/4
• Egg – 1
• Salt to taste – 1/4 teaspoon
• Optional – Chicken breast

Prep:
• Pumpkin – cut into cubes
• Carrot – cut into cubes
• Chicken breast – mince

Cook – Serving for 2:
• Bring the 2 1/2 cups of water, carrot and pumpkin cubes, minced chicken breast to boil in a medium sized saucepan.
• Add the oatmeal over the boiling water, stirring constantly to keep oatmeal from sticking to the bottom of the saucepan.
• Cook until thickness is to your liking.
• Add salt and lower the heat.
• Beat the egg on the oatmeal, stir, simmer for few seconds and it’s ready to serve.

I ♥ this healthy breakfast. Hope you’ll lurve it too. – Melle

10 Babies of A.M.

plants

It’s a nice, sunny afternoon. Mom and I enjoy ourselves sitting by the door and chatted while we admire these plants. They are just so beautiful that we can’t take our eyes off them. Heartache came in the evening when dad and I was washing the porch. Dad accidentally pushed my baby chili onto the floor and it turned upside down with all the soil covering it. I hurried to the rescue and repotted it. It looks a bit wither now. Sobb~ Sobb~ Baby, please be strong !!

I am also not so sure if that’s frangipani. Is it frangipani?

Taking care of these 10 babies is a new hobby of ours. (Abner & Melle = A.M.) We enjoy the progress and look forward to watching them grow everyday. 🙂

Gong Xi Fa Cai 2011

Happy Chinese New Year 2011

Hop~ hop~ Here’s the t-shirt rabbit that I mentioned before from my previous post – Soft Toy Postcard. Instead of making it a key chain, I ignored the strap and added a magnet into it.

Tada~ now I have a new magnet for my fridge. Yay. 新年新年万万岁. 快乐快乐 everyday !! (A chorus from Astro – CNY song – 2009. There are many more nice CNY songs from MY Astro. Here’s some my favourites. 惜福 大日子. 天天好天. 福气. Am proud of them !!) 😉

Wishing you all a very Happy Chinese New Year !! Gong Xi Fa Cai from me to you !!

Life is a Blessing – Dragonfly

dragonfly

From my research, a dragonfly represents renewal, positive forces and power of life. In Japanese culture dragonfly represents courage, strength and happiness. A dragonfly lives a very short life and it tries to live to the fullest with what it has.

“Life is a blessing. Enjoy every moment of your journey in life!!”

And here’s my second painting collection of 2011 !! Am moving on to the third one. It’s all gonna be in a series – flora and fauna. Would like to experiment and practice more to improve my painting. – Melle
